Request a Call with a LifeWise Medical Director
If you receive a denial notification and believe the member’s condition meets our medical policy criteria, you may submit additional medical records for review, or you can request a discussion with a LifeWise medical director. Simply call the phone number noted in the denial notification letter.
Medical director calls are scheduled within one-hour time blocks and aren’t specialty-matched by provider type.
Please make sure you provide a valid phone number for the scheduled discussion and make sure the provider designated for the call is familiar with the case. This effort can help us support our members by making these discussions meaningful.
Medical director calls are available as an optional step before requesting an appeal. Requesting a medical director call doesn’t change appeal rights, as described in all denial notification letters.
